The Stark Reality of Child Poverty

We are facing a child poverty crisis. In London alone, 700,000 children live in poverty, that’s nearly 40% of all children in the capitalMany families are struggling with impossible choices, such as deciding between going hungry or sitting in the cold and dark. These children, already burdened by hardship, are losing hope.

Join Gary's Race to End Child Poverty

This August, Gary “Flash” Blesson will embark on an extraordinary journey from Westminster, London, to Miranda do Corvo, Portugal. Covering a distance equivalent to cycling from West to East London over 40 times, Gary will navigate through France, Spain, and the challenging Pyrenees mountains.

Inspired by his own childhood struggles, Gary is dedicating this feat to support The Childhood Trust, London's Child Poverty Charity. "Having been abandoned as a baby and bouncing through foster homes, I know the hardships many London children face," says Gary. Now a cycling camp owner in Portugal, he uses his passion for cycling to uplift others.

Gary’s journey symbolizes resilience and the power of giving back. Support Gary in his mission to make a difference for the 700,000 children living in poverty in London.
